Portugal: Passos Coelho presents a narrow government of 11 ministers

Portuguese Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho designated on Friday presented a narrow government of eleven ministers including Vitor Gaspar economist, former advisor to the European Commission and the ECB, appointed Finance.
The government comprises four ministers of the Social Democratic Party (PSD, center right), winner of the early parliamentary June 5, three members of the minority party the right CDS-PP and four independent, according to the list published by the Presidency of the Republic .
The new government takes office next Tuesday, Mr. Passos Coelho announced after a meeting with President Anibal Cavaco Silva, while the parliament held its first plenary meeting Monday.

The United States plans to export $ 46.1 billion on arms in 2011, nearly 50% more than in 2010, it was learned Friday from the U.S. agency responsible for such exports.
In FY 2011, which runs from October 2010 to September 2011, Washington plans to sell 46.1 billion for equipment and military services through the system of “foreign military sales (FMS ).
Some 79% of these exports are financed by the client organizations and nations, the rest being financed by the United States under the assistance program.
The system of military sales abroad provides that a buyer requests the State Defense Agency, Security and Cooperation American (DSCA), an offshoot of the Pentagon to buy equipment to industrial and then exported it back the client state.
