The centrist senators have introduced a bill on occupational medicine

The centrist senators filed Wednesday a bill containing reform of occupational medicine had been included in the pension reform, which was censured by the Constitutional Council.
“These provisions have been invalidated because of the lack of direct link with the original intent of the text” and it “does not undermine the essential character of the measures then adopted which had been widely discussed in the National Assembly and more in the Senate, “says the preamble of the proposal.
The Constitutional Council’s decision was welcomed by unions and occupational health professionals, who had repeatedly denounced reform introduced a “back door”, when psychosocial risks (stress, workplace violence, harassment, suicide) and diseases are increasing.
The reform sought by the government institute multidisciplinary teams of health, including occupational physicians, advocates for the prevention of occupational hazards and nurses.
It also allows the employer to designate in the company of “competent persons” responsible for risk prevention, and provides for the monitoring of some employees, including the entertainment, be performed by generalists.
Labour Minister, Eric Woerth, after the censure of the Constitutional Council announced a new specific bill “as soon as possible.”
