The White House was illuminated in pink Thursday night to educate Americans with breast cancer.
“At 18:30 (22:30 GMT, ed), the White House will be illuminated in pink during the month of breast cancer awareness,” stated Bill Burton, deputy spokesman of the American presidency through his account of micro Twitter-blogging.
October is especially dedicated to the fight against cancer, and the opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of screening and mobilize support for research.
