Visa regime: Visa rules in Kyrgyzstan

A foreign citizen or stateless person may enter into the Kyrgyz Republic on a valid foreign passport or document substituting them on the basis of a visa to the Kyrgyz Republic, unless otherwise stipulated by the Government’s decisions and international treaties.

Primary issuance of visa categories for entry into the Kyrgyz Republic is at the diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Kyrgyz Republic abroad, in countries where there are no foreign missions of the Kyrgyz Republic:

- At the diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of bilateral agreements.

Citizens of foreign states as defined in the appropriate list approved by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic can get a visa at the diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Kyrgyz Republic and abroad in its territory, on the basis of personal applications for up to 1 month. The cost of visas, depending on their type varies in size from 30 to 150 dollars. As in most international airports, the departure from the airport “Manas” is charged a fee of $ 10 or equivalent in local currency.

On the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic for a period of validity shall be extended:

• Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic – to stay and departure of foreign citizens and stateless persons who arrived on business and business objectives

• Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic – for exit and entry-exit of foreign nationals and stateless persons who came for business purposes, except for arrivals on diplomatic and service purposes.
