Permitted establishments for investors in Kyrgyzstan

Permitted forms of establishment in Kyrgyz Republic are as follows.
• Sole proprietorship
• General partnership
• Limited partnership
• Limited Liability Company
• Company with additional liability
• Joint-stock company (open or closed)
• Mission
• Branch
In order to start activities in the country, a legal person must be registered in three public bodies:
Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic (in each region of the republic, there are regional administration), the National Statistics Committee, which introduces the registration data in the Unified State Register of statistical units, and the State Tax Inspectorate (STI). For individual entrepreneurs registration includes registration only in a statistical committee and the tax authorities.
Foreign investors have the same legal status as the Kyrgyz investors, and can operate as a fully foreign-owned enterprise or in partnership with Kyrgyz and foreign entrepreneurs. Foreigners can buy shares and other securities of Kyrgyz companies and participate in privatization programs.
