Flag of Kyrgyzstan
The Supreme Council of Kyrgyzstan adopted this flag as flag of Kyrgyzstan on 3 March 1992. Kyrgyz Flag is red in color and built in proportion 3:5. The red background of the flag symbolizes bravery and valor. Red field of flag consists of a yellow sun in the center with 40 uniformly spaced rays which represents 40 Kyrgyzstan’s tribes which were unified against the Mongols by the epic hero Manas. In the center of the sun is a red ring crossed by two sets of three lines. It is stylized representation of the tündük or crown of the traditional Kyrgyz yurt. It is symbol replicated in many facets of Kyrgyz architecture and signifies the family home.
Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan has different flag from the country’s flag.
Bishkek is the capital city of of Kyrgyzstan and it has a light blue flag with a logo. The logo in center shows a tower with the city name written in Russian language. On the tower is a square which is standing on a corner. In the square is a circle with a snow leopard. Bishkek was known with name Frunze from 1926 to 1991.
