Customs regime: Custom codes in Kyrgyzstan

In the Kyrgyz Republic operates the Customs Code, which conforms to international standards, in particular, the requirements of the World Trade Organization.
When importing goods into the customs territory of the customs regime “release of goods for free circulation,” charged the following payments:
• Customs clearance fees levied on the customs value of goods in the amount of 0.15%
• import customs duty at rates approved by the KR Law “On Customs Tariff of the Kyrgyz Republic on goods imported for 2003
• excise tax on these types of products, such as alcohol and tobacco products, at rates approved by the Law on basic rates of excise duty on excisable goods, imported and produced by natural and legal persons in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2003 “on January 10, 2003 ? 2
• Value Added Tax (VAT) at a rate of 20% of customs value, without deducting the amount of customs duties and excise on goods – the amount of excise tax.
In accordance with the Agreement on Free Trade Zone “, zero rate of customs duty for products originating in and imported from the territory of CIS member states.
Most favorable treatment for the participating countries of the World Trade Organization and certain other countries. The average customs rate in 1999 was 9.18% in 2000 – 5.2% in 2001 – 5,13%. In 2002, the zero rate of customs duty applied to more than 50% of commodity items.
