Absences for health reasons in the public land have increased 12% between 2007 and 2010, those in the public hospital at the same time increasing by 6%, according to trends reported on Wednesday by interim Sofcap Dexia Insurance Company specialized.
In local authorities, the rate increases with the size of the community. Thus, it is 6% in communities with fewer than 10 agents, 7% between 10 and 29 officers, 8% between 30 and 149 agents, 9% between 150 and 349 and 11% in communities over than 350 agents.
Of the total cases for health reasons, the judgments of illness (illness or ordinary long illness) are up 16% between 2007 and 2010, those for accidents by 10%. However, accidents at work affect more officers (16%) more often (10%) and last longer (+19%) compared to 2007, which weighs on the rate of absenteeism.
These indicators were calculated in March 2011 on a sample of 331,500 agents in 18,100 communities insured for all types of arrest, said Dexia Sofcap.
Regarding the Public Hospital, the number of stops for health reasons has increased by 6% between 2007 and 2010. As for the civil service, this rate depends on the size of the school: 14% in establishments with fewer than 50 agents, 11% in those with 50 to 99 officers and 9% in those with more than 100 officers.
Again, stops for accidents involve more officers (10%) more often (26%) and longer (18%).
The inventory was made from a sample of 114,000 agents located in 950 insured institutions.
